‘Immersed in Clouds’ submerges the listener in waves of gentle violin, focusing on extended techniques to provide a wide variety of less familiar sounds and timbres.

Each piece is a cloud or state, with it’s own distinctive sound or atmosphere. The listener becomes enshrouded in layers of delicate and beautiful sound, some soft, meditative and static, others swooping and fluttering in and out of the texture.

The pieces are performed/interpreted by Anna De Bruin.

Composer, producer and founder of record label bigo & twigetti, Jim Perkins combines music written for instrumental performance with detailed editing and post production techniques. He writes intricate work creating elaborate textures and exploiting ambisonic and psychoacoustic phenomena to create a sense of depth and detail.
